I was diagnosed with Stage III Colon Cancer in 2008. I did my 6 mnth chemo therapy. At my first check up with my oncologist it was discovered that my cancer was still there and had spread to different organs also called metastatic cancer. Im currently trying to find out different options and want to hear from those that are currently going through this same situation. Im still waiting to hear from the doctors to see what my options will be. Im looking to hear from somone, am I alone on this ???? Please help me get through this !!!

Why is always particulary breast cancer that people raise money for? I mean Tom Green lost his left testical due to cancer, but nobody raises money for testical cancer, or what about lung cancer, stomach cancer, skin cancer, bone cancer, etc etc, but most people only raise money for breats cancer specifically. Makes one wonder, is it all being done out of favortism??? What I mean is, if a women loses her breats thats more important then a man loses his lungs????

I have prostate cancer discover about six months ago i am 43 year old. Wanted to know the side affects to Radiation therapy because I do not want to do the surgery.Wanted to know if there will still be erection along with ejaculation after the treatments.

Please only serious nice replies. My father has rectal cancer and my aunt has colon cancer .Most docs say the survival rate is 5 years. how many out there have lived longer? Im looking for inspiration..truth only please to this sad situation..

hi i got a physical at my doctors he said i have a nodule on my prostate, i got a bunch of tests i gotta do now, im 27 in decent health, I checked all the signs of prostate cancer, no burning, no blood in urine, i guess im just trying to find another option.. anyone have any other ideas it could be?

if you had colon or rectal cancer, would you ever have normal size, shape and color stools, or would they always be thin. I sometimes have thin stools (not anywhere near as thin as a pencil, but sometimes a little thinner than usual). For the most part, I have the same, normal size stool, but if i ever see that it is a little thinner, i get nervous. any advice? thanks! ..also, I have never seen blood in my stool

My Mother has had small cell lung cancer for over a year now. The tumor is near her heart. She has had chemo and radiation and was told in October that neither is helping very much and she had only a few months to live.Her voice is hoarse and weak and she coughs to the point of vomiting sometimes but other than that she looks good. She has lost some weight but is still overweight and eats well.
Anyone have any reactions to radiation treatment for breast cancer?

Sort of like how blood is typed and screened. If a patient knew how their cells reacted to a specific regimen, it would save time going down a long list of chemotherapies. If a sample is taken and tested before chemo is scheduled to start, a patient could go right to that specific drug match and benefit. My mother has breast cancer and is on her 3rd drug combo. We keep going down a list of compatible drugs for her cancer type not knowing which will be a good long term match for her.

it was discovered that my dad had a cancerous mass blocking an artery that made his face swell up. his doctors told him that he had a good chance of recovery and that the cancer was in its early stages. in august of this year the doctors had told him that he wouldnt need as heavy chemotherapy. so my dad skipped a month of treatment. today his doctors supposedly told him that if he dosent quit smoking his survival would be six months to a year. im soo scared for him! the doctors that put in place his mediport screwed it up and he had a blood clot in his chest. should he go see a second opinion?

My sister who is 17 was diagnosed with cervical cancer two months ago and was not treated, now the cancer has spread to her bones and throughout her whole body. She lives in Las Vegas NV and I live in Utica NY, I was planning on making a trip there to visit in february but now im worried that february might be to late. I don’t want the next time I see my only sister to be in a casket, please help.

Last night I was at a party and had 3 beers and 3 jello shots, and the only problems I’m having this morning are a mild stomach ache and some gas. I don’t know if this is caused by the fact that the beer was shitty, or if a medical condition is to blame. Can alcohol give you a stomachache? My head’s fine, but I did have a lot of water and crackers before I went to bed. What would 6 drinks do to you if you had colon cancer or lymphoma? Metastatic cancer? I’m kinda scared but not overtly worried…
BTW, I was never diagnosed with anything
I’m a bit of a hypochondriac and feel the need to know every little thing about everything
So, can 6 drinks give you a stomach ache the next morning?
It’s also my first time drinking

I’m talking a very small cancer, 2.5mm, Gleason 7 age 56 male.
