My nan (76) has had colon cancer for 18months now and its got to stage 4 , it has spread to her bones and her head and her lungs. She had chemo for 3 months but they stopped it because it wasn’t doing anything (that was in august) They then tryed her with radiation and that has reduced the pain but now her back always hurts her , shes loosing so much weight and looks so weak its heartbreaking to see her like this. I understand that i am going to loose her but could someone explain how long she has got or if shes going to be around for christmas, to me everytime i see her she looks worse i see her every 2/3 days as im at school and always studying i try my best to see her ( im 14 ) so im trying my best not to “regret” not seeing her enough when she goes. She isn’t responding to chemo and radiation makes her weaker, shes going off food and water now and isnt getting out alot is this the signs for her fading away ??? Any information on this cancer will help and would anyone know how much time i have got with my nan Thanks x

Does anyone have any advise on prostate cancer?
Posted by admin on March 27th, 2011
My father-in-law was just diagnosed with prostate cancer for the second time and he is in his 50′s I think. I was wondering if anyone has faced the same thing and what we should expect. My father-in-law will not talk much about it so any thing you can tell me would be apricated. He is married and the first time he was diagnosed he had surgery to remove the tumor.
Anyone survive “small cell lung cancer” more than a year? Any tips for longevity other than chemo?
