I have had seed implants and wonder if anal sex (natural or using toys) is dangerous. Don’t want to displace the seeds or damage the area
btw the implants were over a year ago so they no longer have significant activity

My son had his first in-hospital treatment with Doxorubicin and Ifosfamide, one for 72 hours, and the other for 96 hours, beginning Tuesday night, with an additional bladder protection medication and anti-nausea medication, and, of course, saline IV. He was doing fine, with the only side effect being that his food tasted bad. Friday night he started feeling really tired, and by Sunday morning, after the meds were done, he was completely exhausted, and begged to come home, so they let him.
Now he’s throwing up, and can’t keep anything down, and says he’s never felt this exhausted before, but he can’t sleep. The doctors say he’ll feel awful for about three days.
Is this normal? Has anyone else gone through this? How long before he feels better? When he does feel better, how much better will he feel? Will he get a break before he has to go back in for his next treatment in two weeks?
He’s 20.
He did get some anti-nausea meds by IV when he was in the hospital, but they gave him another, and it caused him to twitch, which prevented him from sleeping, so he didn’t want to take that anymore.

My Dad’s PSA levels was an “8″ and he took shots and now they are down to under a “1″ but now he has to start radiation, can the cancer come back after radiation is over? What is the survival rate for this?

My father is 80 and has not smoked for 30 years. He was just diagnosed with Small Cell lung cancer and will be undergoing an aggressive chemo/radiation therapy. Can an individual get lung cancer after not smoking for 30 years or do you think there is another variable causing the cancer?

My brother had brain cancer about 9 years ago, but he had the tumor removed and went through radiation and chemotherapy.At the moment he is doing fine, but I found some statistics that said even living five years was immprobable.

Our dog has mammary cancer. She had one tumor which was removed a year ago (small tumor) and has recently developed 3 very small tumors in 3 of her remaining nipples. They’re doing a double masectomy today to remove all mammary tissue. However, does an increase in the tumors mean that the cancer has become metastatic? Also, if it has spread to her lympatic system, but there are no visible tumors anywhere else on x-ray, how long until she becomes extremely sick from the cancer? I know cancers are variable, but I’m just looking for some clues.
I know the question is about a dog, but I was wondering about how it is in humans to compare.

My mother had a lumpectomy for early stage 1 (almost stage 0) breast cancer. She finishes her radiation treatments this week but she was told today that she would need to do 7 additional treatments (not the same as radiation treatments) for scarring or something like that. They didn’t really explain it to her well and she was running late for another appt. and didn’t have a chance to ask questions. They said they would mark it later this week and then she would have 7 treatments. Does anyone know what kind of treatment or therapy there would be for scar tissue after breast cancer radiation? Has anyone experienced this before?

It’s almost stage 0 because all of the invasive cancer was removed during the biopsy (micro-invasive carcinoma of the breast, low grade) and everything taken out during her lumpectomy was actually pre-cancer cells (dcis).

I just finished my last chemotherapy treatment a few days ago. I have felt a little weak following a few of the treatments…but today it got pretty bad. I am pale and am wondering if I could be anemic? I was treated with the drug Rituxan, which isn’t supposed to have a lot of side effects. Has anyone experienced this type of feeling? Any suggestions on how I can get it to go away? Or, do I just need to get a few days of rest?

My Mom in law has been diagnosed with IV stage stomach cancer this june.She immediately went through surgery and her full stomach was removed. After 2 weeks she got her first round of EOX chemo.Now she is having severe pain in the stomach and other side effects. What is really bothering us is she is unable to pass urine and has swelling in her legs and abdomen.Doctors have now done an ultrasound and Xray. We do no know what will happen?please help us.We are new to this situation
